Cold
It was cold and lonesome in Hachimantai, Japan, as the snowstorm tore apart the world. In this photography series, “Cold,” I wanted to capture my experience as I witnessed the place slowly torn apart by the cold.
In this series, I followed a theme that makes the pictures compelling: the absence of life. I wandered into the downtown train station, mountains, and forests, which all felt lifeless to me. While I was in a forest, the blizzard came and trapped me there. Despite being frozen by the cold, I wanted to record this rare moment that I would never get to experience back at home.
