Undisturbed
“Undisturbed” is a photograph series taken in Hong Kong, my hometown. The social unrest there concerns and saddens me. Therefore, I wanted to explore and capture peace in Hong Kong.
When two crowded cities merge, there is nothing but chaos. This is the first photo I took on my trip to Hong Kong. On a double-decker bus, I overlapped the scene together through double exposure, with one of the pictures is perpendicular to the other. The photo expresses my concern for Hong Kong and contrasts with the peace I have explored and captured.

I wandered into the center of a public apartment building. Surrounded by walls around me, I was taken away from the unrest. I took a picture when I laid down for a nap.
I went to my grandparent’s neighborhood. As I headed to the 17th floor, I felt peace and recollected what the home looked like. I took a double exposure picture of the elevator buttons and the apartment to capture the experience.
